Housewarming Luncheon and Going Away

On Saturday (September 18, 2010) I had my co-workers over for a housewarming luncheon. I made my special chicken concoction (veggies, seasonings, and chicken) with mashed potatoes. I also made my mom’s famous veggie dill dip, which was really good (I had to use cream cheese instead of sour cream because I couldn’t find any sour cream at the store). It turned out really good anyways. One of my co-workers couldn’t make it because she wasn’t feeling well, but the rest of us enjoyed. Sharon and Rebekah are my current co-workers and Lauren was an ex-co-worker who was going to moving to France to study. The luncheon was sort of a housewarming and a going away party. Rebekah and Lauren brought me a gift----24 pack of TP (can’t go wrong with that) and Sharon brought me a few serving trays (these are super handy since I don’t have a table…I eat on my bed most of the time). Lunch was very good and we had good conversation. We played a few Korean games and then headed downtown for a little shopping.  They helped me pronounce the spot to get dropped off at “Samdeok sobangso.” Sharon showed me the discount store where I bought a few things for the apartment. We then went to grab some coffee at Divinci’s. This coffee shop was 5 floors! We had a nice time and then went our separate ways around 6pm. It eas really nice to hang out with them….I hope to do it again very soon.
