Well I passed out at about 3:00pm, but was woken up by a phone call from Rebekah. She said there was a festival downtown and wanted to know if I wanted to come. I should have said no, because I still hadn’t unpacked yet, but I decided to go. After thinking about how tired I was I changed my mind, but I had no choice because I couldn’t call her to cancel (my house phone can’t call cell phones).
I met her, Doug (her foreign friend who I met Thursday night at Sugar Joe’s) and Joseph (her Korean friend who speaks English). We had dinner and then watched a Korean play on the street The performance was very colorful and even though I don’t know the language I could still figure out what was going on. It was a very neat thing to experience (of course I didn’t have my camera because I was charging it).
Then we went to the two-story Baskin Robbins for some ice cream. We then went to a norabang and we tore it up for about an hour and a half. I discovered my new favorite song to sing, “Under the Sea,” by Sebastian on the Little Mermaid! So much fun. We took a taxi home and I was in bed by 1:00am. What I have come to find out is that Korean’s really love staying up late and sleeping in. I walked by a Starbucks at 8:00am and it was closed!
Keep it up Sis.
